CPFA held an intimate fundraising event at the beachfront home of Debbie and Mitchell Rechler in East Quoque. The evening was magical and through generous donations we established the CPFA Summer Research Scholarship at Emory University. This program will become the model for the nation in stimulating the minds of our children to accomplish the goal of living in an AIDS free world. The Summer Research Scholarship program will allow students, over the age of 18, to be given a summer stipend for working on an AIDS related project. This program, on the campus of Emory University, is sponsored by CPFA. It will be administered by the Emory Vaccine Center and the Emory Center for Science Education and open to any student worldwide. Our children are our future and it is imperative that the brilliant minds of our youth are given the opportunity to explore their ideas through research.

Glory Days Friday, May 18, 2007 click here to see photos

The Glory Days event was held at the Tam O’ Shanter Country Club on May 18th, 2007. The combination of fun and fundraising made it a wonderful night for everyone. Glory Days certainly was a glorious success. Thanks to everyone’s commitment we raised OVER $700,000, a milestone in our 18 years of fundraising. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of The Humanitarian Award. This award honored two very special couples, Ivy and Marc Duneier and Andrea and David Acker. Their dedication and tireless efforts on behalf of CPFA were supported by the overwhelming turnout and generosity of family, friends and our community. Our fabulous journal filled with heartfelt tributes to our honorees contributed significantly to this event’s proceeds. During the cocktail hour hor d’oeuvres indulged our senses as did music by the Roxbury Trio. Clyde Duneier Jewelry graciously donated many fine pieces to the silent auction.
