Seed Money
Concerned Parents for AIDS Research continues to be a leader in private “seed money”
funding for innovative AIDS research projects around the world. Our research dollars
that have been raised through hard work and very generous donors have literally
“paid off”. In the past year, every dollar that CPFA has given to research has been
multiplied as all of our researchers have received significant long term funding
based on CPFA sponsored projects. In terms of real money, CPFA’s 1.2 million dollar
“investment” in 5 research scientists has resulted in nearly 20 million dollars
in supporting grants! Our scientific projects have led to the understanding of the
causes of AIDS related lymphoma, how to treat chronic viral illnesses and the development
of a “therapeutic” AIDS vaccine.
